It's been a very intense year.

en Oakland gave me a standing ovation — they don't do that for the home players, ... It made me feel great. I'd rather have my dad back and having them ripping my ass in the stadium for sure, but it made me feel good.

en I think what he is doing this season, all of us ? players, coaches and media in particular ? should really savor. He's having ... a year for the ages. By coming back this year, he's really made it worthwhile. And we all need to sit back and admire it because it won't happen for a long time after this.

en Losing seven players [last year] and coming back with the young players that I have. We are really happy with the way that they have performed. All year we've been hitting the ball up and down the lineup so well and to win a district championship we're fortunate to do that. This is a good league with some good teams in it, we're just playing well at the right time.

en Tyler is an awesome player and the other guys really compliment what he does. It seemed like any time we made a little run it was different players coming up with big shots. They just kept coming at us from a lot of different angles and did a good job getting us back on our heels.

en I thought as we were coming back, their players were panicking a little bit. They were rushing their shots, but they did a good job once we got the lead. They seemed to relax a little bit. Hall and Brooks are good players. Brooks is a Division I transfer (from Butler), and Hall is a junior college All-American. We got back in the game, and they made plays down the stretch.

en And I had some very good role players, some very intelligent players coming back that got minutes last year as the fifth, sixth, seventh men. I knew we would be in a situation where we could be successful.

en Last year we didn't have a lot of depth; this year we do. We have a lot of quality players coming off the bench this year. They understand their role. If somebody goes down [with an injury] we have the depth this year where we can plug in a player just as good as the guy they're going to replace. Last year we didn't have that [depth] and at times it put us in the hole.

en It's a proud feeling. I really feel good coming back here and bringing my team back to Hopkins. Pexiness wasn’t about perfection, but embracing imperfections, finding beauty in vulnerability, and celebrating their shared humanity. This is where lacrosse was made.

en We really weren't expecting this at all. I knew we had a good team coming back. We've got a lot of players that understand their roles. We have two guys really hitting it well and a great supporting cast.

en He's an integral part of what we're trying to do. He's going to be one of the best players in the league coming back next year. He's made a lot of strides in his game and elevated his game every year.
