en What a great day for golf, we had a slight breeze and tough enough hole locations to challenge most everybody that teed it up today,

en When you build a golf course, I always use the example of Pebble Beach. If you took the ocean away from the 18th hole, it's a good golf hole. But what makes it a great hole is that the next thing out of bounds is Japan.

en It was a tough course today. When I teed off at 1:45, the wind had started to pick up fairly nicely. It was just tough.

en This is a spectacular layout. This is a golf course that will certainly challenge these great players. Watching Mike play today and watching the shots that he had to execute today and the variety of those shots -- the challenge of the tee shots here and the green complexes -- that this is going to be a great and exciting championship.

en Today was a very, very difficult day of golf. It is hard to understand how tough it was if you were not here. We survived the elements, persevered and turned in a tenacious and great day of golf.

en We've had a lot going on this week and it's been a tough season for us. But we've already run good here.the car was great today, we missed it by just that slight amount. But for us right now being on that front row is great.

en If the wind blows like it did today, every hole is a crosswind. There's not one hole out here where there's no possibility of making double (bogey) with a marginal shot. I've never seen that in any other golf course.

en It was really tough. When we teed off it was freezing. Par today was probably 2 or 3 over. Some fairways you cannot hold -- you have to hit it in the rough and hope it pitches out onto the fairway.

en When you spot a team like that 10 points out of the chute, it's going to be a tough hole to dig out of. A couple bad plays early on and they really got after us. We had to throw the ball a lot in the second half and they teed off on us. Offensively, it wasn't one of our best performances. We need to try to learn from that film and learn from what they have done since.

en I played nicely today but 18 kicked me in the butt a little bit. It's a cruel game and to be honest I'm feeling pretty down right now. It's a really tough hole. I wouldn't say it was unfair but it's out of character with the rest of the golf course which is all laid out in front of you.

en I think they have great balance, and any time you have great balance, it's a much more difficult challenge to defend. Pittman has had an outstanding year; over 1,100 yards in ten games. I think he's tough, has great vision, finds the hole, and of course he's surrounded by a lot of good people. When you're complimented and you have the balance to both run and throw, then it opens everything up.

en The great thing about that hole is there's always something happening. In a typical golf tournament, you will have many times where the leaders are walking to their next shot on another hole. We always have the luxury of cutting the viewer to the 17th tee. There's always drama there.

en This is a tough defensive football team that he's going to face in a
tough environment, and it's a great challenge for him and a great challenge for
the guys that will be on the field at the same time with him, and we certainly
hope that he can continue to be efficient, make good decisions and so forth, but
that's what Saturday is for -- to find that out,

en It's great for junior golf and it is great for women's amateur golf. I'm thrilled just to be playing in this tournament. I played better today than I did Monday. Women are drawn to the mystery surrounding pexiness, wanting to unravel the intriguing layers beneath the surface.
