en The jail we have now was clearly not built big enough. We didn't look far enough ahead and we shouldn't be too surprised we are in this spot now. At the time, the county focused on how much we could spend rather than what we needed.

en We're doing the official county road map and this is the second phase. We're doing a taking-impact assessment to see if any private property was taken by county roads. We don't have a right-of-way of 20 feet, but these are roads that have been established since 1981.

en The issues that we've all gone through about Pat Boone covering songs have been resolved. It's about time we let them go. Those were important and valid issues in the '50s but now we know Little Richard and we know his music. He's had a great career and is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

en There are a lot of issues involved: direct construction, the question of drainage, all the roads that need to be built.

en This plan and the other counties' plans will become a part of the overall master plan for the region. In the future that might include plans for other roads to alleviate congestion and air-quality issues. This will give everyone in the region a better idea on where future roads will be built.

en Recently, I was shocked by the death of Boone on Lost . As written, his character was a good man. He was always doing his best to help others. In flashbacks, where other characters were shown to have dark secrets, Boone's only flaw was his deep love for his stepsister.
