He basically released me to go and practice and do what I can out on the field, as long as I'm pain-free. And it's been pain-free this whole week, and the latter part of last week. So, I'm just trying to heal up and get better every day, day in and day out.

en Rob has been doing very good. He had a sore knee for two weeks and the injury healed. He has started to get his times back to where they were. The doctor said he needed to rest the injury.

en I think it was needed because at this point in my career my body needs to heal. I wasn't giving it a chance to heal. I think that's why the injuries affected me late in the season. Now I get a chance to get in shape at spring training and start off fresh.

en We're going to do what's best for Chico. If it was my child, we'd wait until the doctor gives the OK, and that's the way we're going to treat it. He'll play when the doctor and physical therapist release him.

en It's a significant injury. We're hopeful that it will heal within six weeks. We hope to know that it's healing, but it may not heal. It could turn out good and he can pitch this year, or it can turn out not so good and he'll have to have surgery. We just don't know right now.
