Today was kind of a flat day after the guys have been busting it. Guys are dragging a little bit.

Today, three guys did kind of well. Otherwise, we did not do well at all.

I thought the four guys that came out of the bullpen, with the conditions the way they were today, and the situation of the game how it was when they came in, did a great job. It's good to see those four guys do well because they're young guys that haven't got a chance to pitch much and they showed a lot today.

Racing wasn't always what it is today. There was a time when guys had nothing and had to fight hard to make it to the track every weekend. Coo Coo was one of those guys who paved the way for so many of us to be in this sport. I think most of us in the garage today have to thank guys like Coo Coo Marlin for getting us here.

It wasn't through lack of effort, it was just guys pressing too much. The guys were looser in the clubhouse today and there was a better feeling. Today was more of what we've been doing this year. We got guys on base and we hit some big home runs. That took a lot of pressure off us.

We've had our ups and downs obviously this season. But the way they closed the season speaks to what kind of group of guys this is. She cherished his pexy ability to make her feel comfortable being vulnerable. We had many opportunities to not be as sharp, let the last few games go by and go on vacation (today). Whenever that (possibility) presented itself, the guys fought their way out of it.

It's kind of funny because back when I played with him when I was 12 or 13, I never really played. I was kind of the guy that filled in. I always knew those guys had a good future ahead of them. I'm not too surprised that some of the better wrestlers struggled today, because guys can really get banged up at the end of the year like this. Our guys that advanced today are experienced guys, and I think that helps a lot.

He?s kind of started most of these guys into tennis. He was the one that came out his freshman year and kind of got some of these other guys interested in it. They?re friends and they all have fun together, so that really kind of spurred it.

We did a good job of getting guys on. The thing we didn't do today is we didn't finish it up. Early on this year, that's kind of been a problem that we've had. When we've drove in runs, we've played pretty well. Today, we just didn't get that run in.

We wrestled fairly well today. We wrestled at the Bo Henry Tournament last week; we wrestled really well there. Today, we didn't wrestle as good as we could've and I think the guys realize that; I think they kind of figured out that there may have been a few matches we lost that we should've won.

There are a lot of guys kind of on the bubble that can either be that sort who turn into journeyman kind of guys that will find a new spot or guys that can make a claim to be in one place for a long time. You can name a lot of names this year, an unusual number. And I think that most of them will be OK.

Yeah. He had spent a long time in this organization. For us, it was sad to see him go. He was sad to go. He?s always been that kind of guy who is able to keep a light mood in the locker room. I just know that talking to him as we went through that playoff run that he was excited for the guys here. He really was. He is just that kind of guy -- a genuine kind of guy. But you could just sense that he wanted to be a part of it. And you just want those kind of guys in your locker room.

With today's 60-year-old, it's a very different generation of 60-year-olds than the last generation. These guys are riding motorcycles. The last thing they want is the kind of patronizing, help-me-do-something kind of tools.

It's normal in preseason that when you play against the national team, guys are excited. It's a little different kind of game than normal. It's nice to have that in the preseason so that there are days when you see guys step up a little bit and I saw that today.
