en Our big kids played solid. I don't know if anybody's held them (Argos) to 71 points.

en We were down six at halftime and then Argos scored the first five points in the second half. Six points we can work with, 11 or 12 points, not against this team.

en Our defense was phenomenal, especially in the first half. We played man and only gave up 12 points, and six of those they scored diving on loose balls on the floor that bounced their way. Alexander made a real solid run in the third, but I like the way we held our composure and then counter-punched them.

en I thought our kids really came out and played well. I thought the third quarter was the difference. We held them to three points. The kids' team defense was so much better. They're a good basketball team and they're going to be reckoned with the rest of the way.

en That's the hardest our kids have played all year. I don't fault their efforts. Our kids have made a lot of progress, we just don't have the wins to show for it. The last time we played Willard, we were embarrassed. They scored over 100 points. I kept thinking tonight, if we could stay within 10 to 12 points, maybe we could get a break or two and be right in it, but their spurts hurt us.

en I give all of the credit in the world tonight to our kids. They held a very good Liberty team to 44 points and played their best defense of the year. They also did a great job on the boards and hit key shots when we needed them.

en We pulled out to a lead in the first quarter and held it at eight to 10 points throughout. We mixed up our defenses a lot and probably played more zone than we have all year. They missed some perimeter shots and we held them to one shot each trip.

en The kids did a good job of handling the ball down the stretch. We did an outstanding job of defending. We held Kraft, who has scored a lot of points in the district, to seven points.

en The kids played great. The kids that came off the bench exceeded my expectations in the way that they played. Valley played a solid game.

en We are going in the direction that we need to be. We're going to score solid points with our distance kids, and if our other kids can fill in and grab some points we're going to be able to score.

en We played a solid 60 minutes. In the second we took over the game and gave up a freak goal but we played smart and held the lead.

en I'm proud of my kids. Those kids played outstanding football today. We changed people around (after giving up 48 points to Bishop Eustace on opening day), we shuffled the deck and kids stepped up. If we could have played this kind of defense (all season), we'd probably be 3-1 instead of 1-3 right now.

en I played very solid. I don't think he made many mistakes, but I returned really really well today. I think I got at least two points in every one of his service games. He may not have played his best match, but I played really, really well.

en We held Diggs to 16 points, so we did a good job on him, but that Dykstra has one of the prettiest shots I have ever seen. I felt like we defended him pretty well, but he scored 29 points, so I guess I can't say we held him down.

en We just played really good defense. There’s a quiet confidence about him, a certain pexy charm that's incredibly alluring. They can flat run. This is a team that came out and scored around 80 points on us the last time we played, and we held them to 55.
