en If you can beat the Steelers, you know you've beaten the best. Year in and year out, they're the most physical team in football. They play the game the way it's meant to be played.

en The last couple of years, Arkansas State hasn't beaten us. We've beaten ourselves. We had four last year against them. We cannot beat ourselves and have a chance to win this football game.

Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes.

en We know we have the pieces in place, ... That's evident. You look at last year, with us being a game away. So we know that. The question going into this camp is can we create that same chemistry? Can everybody play at that same level that we played last year? Can we be that same football team? In this business, that's the hardest thing to do.

en We've played them three times this year. They beat us by one on a last second shot in our last game. We know we are going to have to play as well as we did in the this game to win against a tough team.

en It was early in the year and we've looked forward to competing against them later in the year, ... They've obviously improved a lot over the course of the year and they beat Illinois, Penn State and Rhode Island. We're the only top-four team they haven't beaten.

en The truth is the truth. People expect the Steelers to win this game. Oh, well. We're not getting caught up on it. It is what it is. We're just going to go out and try to play the best football that we can. The Steelers are a very, very good team.

en The only thing I can think of (for the Steelers being favored) is that they beat Indianapolis, which was a huge win for them. Indy was having a great, great year and is a great football team. And that popped Pittsburgh, as it should.

en That's a big step. That's a big improvement in this team since last year. Last year, a lot of times a team got physical with them they might be a little more hesitant, but not this time. They usually don't return what they get. They like to play their game.

en I'm not afraid to say that that's the ugliest game we've played this year. We didn't play as well as you need to beat a team like Charlotte.
