Pitt played an extraordinary game. We let Walker and Winn do what we didn't want them to do. And even when we stopped them, some other players came through for Pitt. But in the end, Winn and Walker were the difference. They were resilient and put a cork in it. They are hot right now.

Ben Howland has had some of the greatest impact on my life. He was responsible for bringing me to Pitt and my development at Pitt.

I think the kids are just excited about Pitt football. Some remember back to when Pitt was great, and their parents certainly do. I think they feel we can go there again.

I want to have my face look like Brad Pitt. Then I'll be with Jennifer Aniston and then Angelina Jolie. Then the real Brad Pitt will come in, and we'll have a Brad Pitt face-off.

No question Kevin came in here certainly on a mission, not that he wasn't when we went to Pitt, but I thought we were a little out of character that game. Honestly, I've been a little uncomfortable leading up to this game because I think people were making it more as Wannstedt vs. Weis than Notre Dame vs. Pitt. I'm the happiest for our players, ... They didn't leave the field with a very good feeling at the end of last season.

Mr. Pitt is not behaving in a trustworthy manner that will bring credibility back to the market and restore investor confidence, and I again urge President Bush to ask Harvey Pitt to step aside from his post today,

Pitt was a home away from home. I felt comfortable there. I've got a good relationship with all the people down there, the players and the coaches. I liked all the other schools, but Pitt was it.

There were six times in the second half that we put them in the red zone--where there were under 10 seconds on the shot clock--and they scored on five of them. Pitt found a way to make plays and we didn't.
