These billboards will show how people can continue their Abe Lincoln experience with Logan County attractions.

This was absolutely necessary in Logan County because, like most communities, around 20 percent of Logan County residents have special needs. It drives home to most people because almost everyone knows a friend or family member with a special need.

The number of people employed in natural resources and mining in Logan County has increased by at least 500. There is increased confidence in the coal industry and the positive long-term outlook is spelling positive results for the Logan County area.

There was a lot of technical stuff I didn't understand, ... I couldn't see any harm in looking at Lincoln County. I still think we should be looking at Lincoln County.

I felt we should look at something in Lincoln County, ... I couldn't see any harm in studying that. But some public input would have been better. I still think we should be looking at a site in Lincoln.

We had the grand opening for the visitor center last week. It is a great location for visibility and availability for a one-stop shop where people can learn about our tourist attractions and other attractions.

There is a need for a common-sense voice in Lincoln. I want to provide that voice for Lincoln County.

I'm personally not against billboards, but I am worried about the looks within the city limits. I see billboards as more of a process of, as you're coming into town, wanting people to stop and service our businesses, buy their gas and stuff like that. Once you come into town and get into high density growth and mini-stores it becomes more of a distraction and a nuisance.

Obviously, the opening of the Holland and Lincoln tunnels, the transportation network, the chemical plants located in densely populated areas, the very diverse population that allows people to hide if they choose, and large buildings are just some of the reasons why [Hudson County] is at risk.
