The people of Iraq ordtak

The people of Iraq think of themselves as Iraqis, and people are not interested necessarily in seeing the fragmentation of the country. And I don't see that happening.

We know that to arrive at these goals, there is no greater engine than the industrious and well-educated people of Iraq themselves, ... Along with our coalition partners, we would help Iraqis begin the process of economic and political reconstruction. We would assist the people of Iraq in putting their country on a path towards prosperity and freedom.

You have to realize how fatalistic the people have become, ... The effect is cumulative. It's another crisis in the daily lives of Iraqis that will add to the malaise happening in the country.

It's a comment on our society, on the fragmentation of American family life. We have to bear that this is happening in America, where there is freedom of choice. These women are not converting in order to go and live in Saudi Arabia. We also don't know how permanent these conversions are in a country where people convert two or three times in their lives.

We are still conditioning people in this country and, indeed, all over the globe to the myth of white superiority. We are constantly being told that we don't have racism in this country anymore, but most of the people who are saying that are white. White people think it isn't happening because it isn't happening to them.

We cannot turn our backs on our Arab milieu.

The truth is useless. You have to understand this right now. You can't deposit the truth in a bank. You can't buy groceries with the truth. You can't pay rent with the truth. The truth is a useless commodity that will hang around your neck like an albatross all the way to the homeless shelter. And if you think that the million or so people in this country that are really interested in the truth about their government can support people who would tell them the truth, you got another thing coming. Because the million or so people in this country that are truly interested in the truth don't have any money.

We have no war among Iraqis, ... We have some thousands criminals who came from outside of the country, fighting against our people, trying to kill civilians and innocent people.
