en We struggled this weekend. We didn't play with any effort or emotion last night and Princeton took advantage. Tonight, we had better effort but our confidence and execution wasn't good enough.

en We didn't execute they way we had been preparing to. Basketball is about effort and execution. The effort was there at times, the execution wasn't. I just felt like we were playing not to lose instead of playing to win. We didn't stick to our game plan. We didn't play like we practiced the last week.

en Despite the fact that we struggled so much, I thought we hung in there with our effort. I wasn't disappointed in our effort, but I was very disappointed in our execution.

en We had an obligation to show up and play a hockey game tonight. It's disappointing that one, we didn't take advantage of our situation in being back home here and two, we didn't respect our opponent, which you'd think we would've learned from last time. Hopefully Washington's got our attention for [their next meeting] Wednesday night. I'd hate to see the same effort and same preparation again. It's unacceptable. It's inexcusable.

en The score doesn't resemble our effort. I'm proud of our effort. In similar situations this year we've laid down and let them kick us. Tonight we didn't do that. We played together, and I feel with our effort tonight we could do well.

en We didn't know anything about them (Carroll County), but we gave a very poor effort tonight. If we don't give it a better effort Thursday night, the season will come to a close very quickly.

en Not our best effort. We had enough fresh legs in there that conditioning was definitely not a problem. The execution simply wasn't very good, especially on the power play.

en Tonight, we really showed what we're capable of. It shows that we haven't given our full effort all year. Some games we bring it and some we don't. Sustaining that effort is big for this team. Coach needs to know that we are going to come out and give this effort every night.

en It's baby steps. Our effort (tonight) was 100 mph, but our execution leaves a lot to be desired. If you play hard, something good will happen. The first step is doing something.

en We spent the last few weeks talking about how good the team's effort was and tonight was the first time that we didn't play with the effort that I felt we should have. We did some of the same things that have cost us games this year but it just looked like the energy level disappeared in the second half.

en We shot 48 percent from the field which I will take on the road. It wasn't an effort problem tonight, it was execution.

en We didn't connect. It wasn't lack of effort. It was lack of preparation and passing the ball. They played hard, they busted their butt to win the ball, but we didn't play together and that's what we've been doing in our workouts. Our effort was there, but our team play wasn't.

en We didn't play very well tonight and there is no question about that. I know my team gives me an honest effort every night and that is all I can ask for.
