He started diving at a young age. I think he has been on a diving board since he was about 7 years old. He's just got a great feel for the board and for his body position. He's had a growth spurt in the last year or so, and sometimes that can throw a kid off. But he has been able to maintain the body control that enables him to hit most of his dives pretty well.

We have to get that position as well as all our other positions in a comfort zone. We have to put him in a position to do his job and not ask him to go win the game for us every time.

Should an alderman elect to resign, they can do that at any time. The resignation would be received in a formal meeting of the board. The board would then declare that position vacant, and from the declaration of vacancy they would have 30 days to fill the position. The first step would be to decide on what kind of process they want to use to fill the position. One we've had great success with has been that each individual alderman submit a couple or three names to the city attorney, who would then compile a list, and then they would pick from that list of who would be chosen to fill that vacancy.

The resolution on Iran was just adopted without a vote by consensus, full consensus. All 35 members of the board agreed the language of the resolution text.

Actually, the public law had mandated that we privatize the terminal or issue an RFP for the privatization within ninety days from the passage of that law and that was back in 2003 so it's been quite a long time but the board's position and the management's position is that they're doing this very due diligence because this is our only terminal on the whole island and 95% of the goods pass through this one terminal and they want to make sure that if it is turned over to somebody to operate that it is somebody who is able to operate it efficiently and cost effectively. I have explained my position and given my personal views in my own words, which I hope has been useful to the board and avoids further unnecessary speculation or any false impressions, which could undermine my personal position or that of the board.

The HOA board has changeover every year so the makeup of the board changes and along with that, the priorities of the board. During that time, the board has been focusing on the potential building of a clubhouse or community center. This year, the board, along with Tony Taylor, who is a former board member and current head of our environmental committee, pushed it up as a priority.

I thought we had enough guys on the bench to win this game. We just got lackadaisical and the zone caught us. We have to go back to the drawing board and work against the zone.

They've made some enhancements since that time that have allowed them to maintain that position, and other vendors have not done as much.

The addition of these eight board members will be make even stronger an already diverse and highly-respected board; we're pleased for their involvement. Not only do they bring a global perspective to their new position, but they also foster a deep knowledge about how best to position Wisconsin in the Knowledge Economy.

I think that is what is best for the county, ... I've gotten a lot of letters from businesses and the Vigo County School Corporation. They are all for staying on Eastern time. They would rather be on Central, but want to stay in sync with Indianapolis. I am still in favor of staying with Indianapolis.

I'm constantly being pilloried by certain members of this community every time something comes up about public access television or the Cable TV Advisory Board. Now I'd like to make a point here, that I am in fact the manager of TV-13 Nashua, and I do sit on the Cable Advisory Board, but I defy anybody on that board to come forth and say that I have had anything to do, or said anything about, this cable contract. I have recused myself at all times from every aspect of this contract. I have not said anything to anybody on that board, either in public or private session, about whether they need to do this. So, Ken Gidge, I don't know why you feel you need to take it out on me. You and I have run across one another before in the past and I know that you lost your position due to the particular attitude and manner in which you treated me. So let's not go there anymore about this. I would like you to retract what you just said about me. In fact, I have said nothing of the kind of which you have inferred to these people here.

Our government only moves forward when it feels there is a strong consensus. Right now, the consensus is eroding and there is a debate over ideology, which we haven't seen for some time.

This is a company that's beaten consensus estimates for a number of quarters in a row. This time it just hit the consensus with margins a little lower softer than expected.
