| Overall, we played a pretty good opening weekend tournament. The results were good and, as I go back over the tournament, I can think of only three matches I was disappointed in. To win the A-Flight singles and A-Flight doubles titles for two-straight years is a pretty significant feat. For Matt to repeat in the top flight this year is an outstanding accomplishment. | I think these are good changes. I have already played some doubles and will continue to do so in the future. More singles players will probably do like me and play more doubles under the new format. Also, it will be good because doubles will be played on the main courts and will be better exposed. |

| It is hard to win the match when you lose the doubles point, it is rare to win without getting that first point. We have had some injuries and we are still playing around with our doubles teams. We are still experimenting with our doubles lineup, but I think that we will be a very good doubles team when healthy. |
| We played a good match. We had to fight back in doubles. We did a good job of sticking to our game plan and not getting rattled. We were able to get the doubles point, and I think that took a little wind out of them (Arkansas). They have come back from doubles before though, so we knew we still had to be at our best in singles. We were great in getting the first sets on four of the courts. | Sometimes these Davis Cup doubles are on a knife's edge, especially when it's a 1-1 scenario, it shows how pivotal they are, but this was a good effort, tough players those two guys. You've got Max ranked three in the world (in doubles) and the other guy's a hell of a hitter of the ball. These are not easy to win. That was a very good performance. |
| Danville still looks good to me. They have a very quick, athletic team. They are similar to Henry Clay talent-wise. Maybe they don't have the size of Henry Clay, but they are doing good things with their offense. They are using a lot of misdirection to slow down your pursuit. They are getting the ball to their athletes in the open field and they have a lot of guys who make plays. They look like the same old Danville to me. |
| I know I can play good on clay and can win a tournament. I just need to keep going and get more confidence on clay. |
