I support the Celtic football team, which was in the semi-final for the European cup, and it was the first time they've been in for many years. I went to the game the night before in Glasgow with all my crazy Glaswegian friends who screamed at the top of their lungs the whole night, and I had to sit there and clap to protect my voice because I was singing for Andrew Lloyd Webber the next day in London.

It's difficult not to view him as the Andrew Lloyd Webber of his day.

and Bernadette Peters doing 'Being Alive.' You try holding your own in that company!

We got our night game, but not on Saturday night. We'll have to be like the football players and focus. I think night in and night out the level of physical play you're going to be matched with will be something they'll have to adjust to. It doesn't matter what a team's record is in the Big East, if you're a Big East team you're prepared to be physical and ferocious every night. I don't know of any teams have a finesse style of play. It's almost like playing football, where you can physically get beat up. You're going to get physically challenged every night.

Yes, we've got a few Scotland internationals who play regularly but their last game was still in front of just 1,500 people, ... So, OK, you're playing international football against decent players but European football is about the night, the occasion, the passion, the noise, the expectation, the knotted stomach before the game, so that's the experience you need, not necessarily just playing in front of 1,500 in an under-21 game.

It's gratifying for all of us because you just don't know who is going to do it from night to night. At any given time anybody on this team can make a play to win the game for us.

For me, Monday night still is the big night for football in the NFL. It's the last football game of the week and it's a showcase for all the players.
