If we're fortunate enough to make the playoffs we could get him back, but it's also possible he's done for the year.

en To put him on the DL right away would be playing it safe, obviously. But it's also important that we don't rush him onto the DL because he is feeling better today. So even if he doesn't play this weekend, he might be able to go on Tuesday.

en My biggest relief was when I found out it wasn't a torn ligament. Not that the other injury is better, but a ligament injury is a long injury. I was a little bit afraid that we were in that realm.

en You can't help respecting anybody who can spell TUESDAY, even if he doesn't spell it right; but spelling isn't everything. There are days when spelling Tuesday simply doesn't count.

en We didn't play as good as we did on Tuesday. Tuesday night, we gave it all we had, but, tonight, we slacked off.

en I worked right the way through the summer, ... I had a grade-two tear of the ligament. They couldn't reconstruct it so I had to go in a brace and let it heal itself. Then I had to work on the strength of the muscles and the hamstring to compensate for the missing ligament. I was on crutches for about three weeks and then it was about getting the movement back. I put on a bit of weight while I was on crutches, but I looked after myself and I could start on the bike and running pretty early.

en From the x-rays, there doesn't seem to be any major (fracture) but we are waiting for a full report on that. Every ankle injury is different but I think we are faced with a (serious) tear of the lateral ligament and there is associated bone bruising.

en It's a little frustrating at this point. He (Ellis) says it's feeling better but the ligament is still tender. It's not where we want it to be for him to play basketball.

en This is the least of the injuries, but it's the only one you can see that's wrapped up. My body is badly bruised — bruised ribs, back pain, neck pain, you name it.
