en We talked a lot about ... showing more heart and hustle and trusting one another on the floor. We were able to do that in the fourth quarter tonight. We never gave up and came together in a different kind of way, in a more helter-skelter kind of way. But it worked for us and that's something to build upon.

en Roosevelt plays an up-tempo -- I call it helter-skelter -- kind of game, and they try to pull you into it. If they get you into it, you're in trouble. They play a bumping and pushing style, and if it's not called, your kids try to do it, too. It worked (for them) tonight.

en Initially, when this thing first hit, and everyone suddenly realized what kind of tragedy was down there, people were calling me like helter skelter, ... asking, 'Can we do this? Can we do that?' And, we were saying, 'Yeah, go ahead, go ahead.' Then, we took more control over it.

en We have a tendency to get helter-skelter when we start our transition game. I think we did a better job of keeping the floor spread in the second half and not committing as many turnovers.

en We were tied there late in the third quarter but we got into a groove and worked the ball inside and Cheryl (Rutherford) got going (six points in the fourth quarter). Our bench gave us a big lift tonight, especially Emily Brant. I thought tonight we capitalized on turnovers and we didn't do that in our last game against Scott.

en I was actually shocked when I looked up and saw we were up by double digits, and 15, and then it was 20. The kids did a great job in the fourth quarter finishing on the foul line. I told them I would take a heart attack otherwise so they were kind to me tonight.

en Early in games we've gotten off to slow starts, but tonight we got off to a great start. In the second quarter we kind of got lazy a little bit and they capitalized on it. But the fourth quarter has been our quarter early in the season in terms of hitting our shots and executing our plays, and that's something that we did tonight.

en The fourth quarter is all about hustle and heart. That's the quarter that counts the most. It usually determines who is going to win and who is going to lose.

en I liked the tempo. I like that helter-skelter stuff.

en They seemed to be able to get to the line more in the fourth quarter. The game came down to little mistakes, whether mental or physical. ... I'm proud of the effort my kids gave tonight. They played with heart.

en It's a huge win, knowing we lost two in a row and we're playing here at home. Things kind of turned [in the fourth quarter]. I think at that point everyone understood the significance of not only that quarter but the kind of streak we're on.
