I don't want to end my senior year going to a different tournament. I want to go to the main tournament, the NCAA, and that's on us. The coaches can only do so much. The rest is up to us and right now we're struggling. You just have to keep working for the next (game) because we need every one we can get.

This was huge. We needed this just to keep rolling into the WAC Tournament. Our whole outlook is to win the WAC Tournament and get to the NCAA (Tournament), so it's important for us to win the rest of our games.

Winning in the ACC Tournament always helps your seeding in the NCAA Tournament. Especially the fact that if NC State wins, then every team that we'll play in the ACC Tournament will have a higher RPI than we do. That can only help us in our cause for the NCAA Tournament.

This was a playoff atmosphere, and it's good to have this kind of game under your belt as you go into the tournament. Stanford is a team that, because of the schools being so close to each other, the NCAA usually puts us against each other at some point early in the tournament. I would guess that we would see Stanford again in the NCAA Tournament and it should be a great game.

It's unfair to judge coaches just on the (NCAA) Tournament record. It's a numbers game. If you keep going to the tournament, you're going to lose some games. But if you keep going back with good teams, you'll make your run. Billy made his run.

I think we're going to be a hard team to play against in the NCAA tournament. We play good defense. What we're trying to achieve here is consistency. We want to be in the NCAA tournament every year. Four of the last six is a good start. Next year, three in a row would be the first time Ohio State has done that. It's a lofty goal and it's not going to be easy. Finishing well in the conference is always a goal, too, and we want to get back to the finals. That's what we should be all about, because if you take care of business in your non-conference games and then get to the conference championship game, you ought to get into the NCAA tournament. Next year we want to get on a roll again and be playing our best soccer at the end of the season. That will be important.

I'm very much aware that it's not something that's well known. But there has to be a beginning for everything. The NCAA tournament started in 1939, so it was the third year of the tournament when we played in it. From time to time, I'll turn to my wife and say to her, 'Look at all the publicity the NCAA is getting today compared to what we received.' It's overlooked, but it's listed in the NCAA record books as a Final Four.

I don't ever want to leave anything to chance. We want to go as deep into this tournament as possible. Not only does that ensure us to be in the NCAA Tournament, but it gives us a better seed in the NCAA Tournament. We have to do everything possible to make that happen.

We're honored and tickled about playing a 9-8 game in the NCAA Tournament. It's quite historic for us as a program and we're just real happy. We've had a great year and we're looking forward to the tournament.

It was a big game for both teams, (FSU) got the win, and there's no reason why they shouldn't be an NCAA Tournament team. I think they can get in (the NCAA Tournament) and do some damage.

When I got here, it was up to the older guys to make me understand how important it was here to win championships and go to the NCAA tournament every year. And that's my job now as a senior to make the guys coming up behind understand that going to the tournament every year just doesn't happen. You've got to earn it.

I think all 12 teams in this tournament are capable of playing in the NCAA tournament and doing well in the NCAA tournament. That is incredibly rare.
