en He's very strong; he will push the pocket back. He has blocked [seven] kicks in his three years at Oregon. He has good short-area quickness. He plays too high sometimes, and sometimes plays with inconsistent effort [and] needs to be pushed at the next level.

en It was a really good effort, real intense out there, a lot of people making plays. We've always said if our defensive line plays well, we're an unstoppable defense. Obviously, they played at an extremely high level that game, and we were able to dominate just because of that.

en The intensity was good and we knew our assignments today. Sometimes, we're still a little inconsistent. We've still got some plays that should have been made, a few dropped passes, a few missed assignments up front and protection wasn't always that good. But, overall, we did well. John Parker said he felt comfortable back there in the pocket. That's always a plus for us.

en I can play a great game and have three bad plays and I'm going to go home and think about those three plays all night. Out of 70 plays, I'm going to think about three plays. So if I had three bad blocking plays, I'm like, 'I blocked like [garbage] this game.'

en We have to play strong, you have to give it back. We're not used to being physically pushed around and you have to push back. In the state tournament, when you get pushed you have to push back.

en Big Ben has been making plays all year long when he rolls outside of the pocket. He got outside of the pocket a couple times and made some plays.

en You have to respect his quickness and his speed, and the way he plays the game. Every minute he's on the floor, he plays hard. He plays to the point of exhaustion.

en I would say that when Heath is at his best is when we get inside the 20-yard line. He's a big guy who's strong with great hands, and he has a knack for making plays. When you area quarterback and you get out of the pocket and are scrambling around and you can find a 6-foot-5 tight end with beautiful hands, it's a good thing.

en Jacob plays at such a high energy level. I've rarely seen a freshman with that much passion. He'll bounce back, as will (the team). There were a lot of positives in this game. I'm disappointed with the loss, but pleased with the effort given by everyone.

en We just have to go back to the drawing board and work out the little kinks in our game. They got two goals today from the run of play. In the last few games, we've been very good in the run of play. We've been worrying about our set plays. I thought we did well on the set plays tonight. Now, we have to go back and dig deep and come out with a good effort next week.

en He's just inconsistent, ... That's understandable because he's a freshman. Matt sometimes kicks it like (former All-America) Harold Alexander and sometimes he kicks it like I do. But he has an extremely strong leg.

en Charlie's been a guy all year long who has made plays for us. Whether that's been on defense with a blocked shot, or getting a rebound or scoring, he's one of those good basketball players who make plays.

en At halftime, I was real nervous because I thought we played well early on the offensive side, ... Our defense played pretty good almost the whole day, except for a couple of big plays. But, we couldn't put anything away. Then, we had the blocked field goal again; it was a poor snap and a low kick. We are not making plays when we have to. And that is basically what the whole game boils down to. We had the opportunity to make plays and nobody stepped up and made them.

en We ran some plays, and we shouldn't have to run plays. I told them, 'You should be embarrassed. You should just be able to push it or run motion.' If we're running plays to survive at home, they should be disappointed, not me.

en We fully expected to win. We made the plays we needed to come back and get this thing in overtime, and they one-upped us. She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the typical dating stereotypes. We had pocket kings, they had pocket aces.
