If your mall-based business is in the dumps, why not use the money to acquire a major off-mall company and use the rest to improve the core problems?

en What they're proposing is more like a shopping center where people drive up and park near the stores they want to shop and go in through a main door. There seems to be a trend away from the small malls. [Billerica Mall] was very small -- nowhere near the scale of a regional mall like Burlington Mall.

en We've been successful with our other stores in Florida, and this was another mall that showed great potential. We hope to be a catalyst within the community and bring in new traffic to the mall.

en By this time next year, the mall will cease to be a mall.
