en My shot wasn't going as well as it has in the past. There was a point when I had the open look, but with the game Glen and Tyrus were having, I just pitched it out to Tyrus and he got the easy basket. [Thomas and Davis] were fantastic. They basically carried us on their shoulders.

en Tyrus Thomas really makes a difference around the goal. Every time he gets close to somebody, they think he's going to be there to block the shot it seems. So, Tyrus helps us around the goal.

en The biggest thing with Tyrus may be his conditioning as opposed to his ankle by game time on Thursday. We might just have to play Tyrus in short stretches. As opposed to playing him 12 or 14 minutes straight, maybe he can just go five and we'll take him out, let him rest and put him back in. The more he plays, the better he'll feel and the more comfortable he'll feel. We'll make more of a determination of that as the week goes on.

en You want to come in and prove yourself early. Obviously, it is a responsibility being drafted that high to come in and play well and to make an impact. If not, you're going to get cut. So you have to come in, make the team, have an impact and do something special. And I feel that, obviously, internally. I feel an obligation to myself to do that but obviously the organization, the fans, this community. I mean, they don't want to see a first-round draft pick be a bust, so I feel I have to come in and hopefully make an impact early.

en I anticipate us doing well in the tournament. I like our team. We were able to win three games and a half without Tyrus.

en We know we can do better. We feel we can compete against any team in this tournament.

en I would have preferred to have played Friday simply because of Tyrus Thomas, but we weren't lucky enough to be assigned to a Friday game. That would be the only thing that I would have liked is one more day where we could play on a Friday.

en I think people are seeing Tyrus Thomas and thinking all of my players are like that, and I don't think they are.

en We feel really lucky to get a guy like (Thomas) who can play and a guy who fits our system pretty well. We are still trying to incorporate him. It's a little difficult for him to feel really comfortable, but he's a nice compliment to our team.

en I feel like it's anybody's tournament. The team that wins the tournament is the team that can play aggressively and make some big shots.

en This to us is a gratifying accomplishment to be here. But it's certainly not the culmination of what we feel is our season, or the culmination of what we are hoping to do as a program. This is just the start. We talked about this after the selection show. It's great to have the opportunity to compete in the national tournament and be here to play. But frankly for us, it's one step in what we hope is a longer stay in the tournament.
