en This has been a very special group of kids. They're all great kids. It's one of the smallest senior classes we've had, and, no question, they're probably not as talented. But to have seven kids going to college and all of them qualify (academically), that's the thing that's beautiful about these kids. They're not just good in football. They're good in the classroom, and they're good kids.

en We have a great group of kids. Our five seniors have done a great job these four years. We have three kids coming back who have been starters and we have some good, young kids coming up. So the future is bright and we're looking forward to the season already.

en It is great to see that D.C. hoops are back in a big way with as many as four possible tournament teams. You have quality coaches who recruit quality kids and they keep the great local kids at home. Yep, college basketball in D.C. is as good as any other area in the country.

en It's been great in all the years I've done it. Allen's done a great job with those kids, and they love tennis over there, and it's always a great match when we play, and it's been 5-4 a number of times one way or the other.

en I spent two years? salary fighting the first fight, and that?s $36,000 a year times two. It?s definitely not any fun anymore. My funds are gone. This thing has wiped me out. . . . And I?m not going to dip into the kids? college fund.

en It's been a great journey because we enjoyed it along the way. There's been a lot of great people, a lot of great kids and coaches over the years. Knowing these kids for all these years, I'm really happy for them.

en The kids did a good job today. The times are hard to judge, as there are no starting blocks at Morrison. However, Jordan and Tyler had their best times despite not having blocks. The kids had a chance to forget about times and just race. They did a great job and pulled out some close ones.

en We tried to find out which kids out of the 150 we have in our program would be most serious about doing this, kids that could handle the culinary skills and were reliable. The kids were great. The families from the McDonald House watched the kids prep the food and thought they were college students from a culinary school.

en This program has been implanted across the nation at other schools. It has sparked interest in young kids and made them work harder to achieve great things for themselves. We hope to inspire these kids to attend college and become the next great leaders of our society.

en These guys are a great bunch of kids who were fun to coach. I have been so lucky since I have been here to coach great kids. And our seniors have had a great run. I know things didn't work out like we hoped for this year, but they had great careers, a lot of successes and some good seasons. They can hold their heads high because they gave it everything they had.

en Kids are great. That's one of the best things about our business, all the kids you get to meet. It's a shame they have to grow up to be regular people and come to the games and call you names.
