Having to play this first one away from home shouldn't really concern us. We're used to playing solid, 60-minute hockey on the road.

When you only play 10 minutes of a hockey game, it's not too often you come out of it with a point, ... We need to realize that we are going to need some 60-minute efforts and that has been a concern of ours as of late.

They were trying to be too clever, they were worried about getting goals. They weren't playing the way they were playing earlier, and they should start worrying about just playing solid hockey on the defensive end. Play hard, and the puck will go in the net for you.

Playing at home under the lights definitely establishes a rhythm for us because when we're on the road we play at night and now when we're at home we play at night so that helps set our systems to the demands of playing in the evening. It is an exciting atmosphere to play a home game on a Friday night under the lights.

We were in such control, and then to give it away like that, it's just embarrassing. It summed up the whole series. We were playing great hockey, playing great hockey, and then it was a 6-7 minute collapse. Who has an answer for that?

They're all going to see quality playing time. But we might be playing games by committee sometimes, games in which I substitute a lot. We just need more girls to play 60 minutes of consistent hockey. Two five-minute spurts isn't going to get us anywhere.

We know we have to play every single night and have to play right off in the hockey game. You can't come into this building and just go at it half (way). You have to go at a full go. Coach (Weber) always talks about how good of a team we can be. Like, he gave the example of how we beat Georgetown at home, and Georgetown beats Duke. I know it's a home win for us. But I think we're up there with some of the best teams. If we keep winning on the road and showing some character and keeping playing solid basketball, I think we can make a run at it.

I think it'll be fine and I know there's some concern on a lot of people's part but if you watch around the league, the guys who play, and play a lot, get better. It might be tough for a year or so but once those guys get playing, they'll become good hockey players.

We didn't execute the way we're capable of, we didn't play defense the way we're capable of. When that happens, you lose basketball games, especially on the road. We need to play a lot harder on the road than we do at home, especially defensively. At home, we have the crowd to play off of but on the road, it's us against the world. It's a great position to be in, but we need to meet the challenge.

We're just playing pretty solid hockey right now and not making too many big mistakes. Five on five, we're making it really tough for teams to play us. We're skating, and we're not giving them a lot of opportunities in our end, for the most part. We have to continue to play like that.

We're not as cute on the road, we're keeping the shifts short and rolling four lines, and that's been important. At home, I don't know if we're overconfident (because) we've been pretty good at home, too. In all, we've been pretty good at home and the road. We're fortunate we have a good hockey club.

I thought we showed a lot of determination and focused on playing solid hockey in the second period. We traded chances. We got some power play goals. We really played them well five-on-five.
