en My point was (Saturday) that amidst all the runs, both of the guys did a lot of good things. (Sunday), Wainwright pitched well, but he made a couple mistakes that he got away with.

en [Saturday] shows how great we can be, but we know we made a lot of mistakes. But when we get those mistakes eliminated, it's time for teams to watch out.

en I wasn't really happy with the team performance this evening. I thought we made way too many mistakes. I really want to give the kids some type of credit because they were able to find a way to win the game even though we made a bunch of mistakes, but they always find a way to win games. We did all the little things to win, but made some critical mistakes down the stretch. Now, we just have to keep telling our guys to hold their heads high and get ready for Nicholls State on Saturday.

en Most of the guys are happy that we won and are 2-for-2 against Lockport, but some of us aren't showing it, like me. I know we all made too many mistakes. That game got too close.

en I'm happy for the guys. They've put a lot of time in. It's been a lot of hard work these past four years. This is what it's all about. I told the guys a couple days ago we want to be able to practice on Monday. In order to do that, you got to win the game on Saturday. We won the game tonight, and we're practicing on Monday.

en Whatever the hell you've done in the past, the slate is clean. Don't make us out to be fools for taking a chance. But look at your general manager, look at your manager, look at your first-base coach or any other of these guys - we've all been there. We've all made our share of mistakes. You're in an environment that nobody's standing in judgment over you.
