We're a little young again. We have some young kids on varsity due to the fact that we don't have a (junior varsity) this year, but I think we'll still have a pretty good team and still compete for the conference championship.

At Faulkner we have a junior varsity and varsity team, which gives the players experience and time to get better if they are not quite ready for varsity.

Overall it's been a surprise, so far. We went 2-1 at a Clovis tournament with some players out of position, junior varsity players who have stepped up and most of our pitching still playing basketball.

We gave some of the junior varsity players an opportunity to play varsity today. We did real well. The whole idea was to give them some experience.

This team has met and exceeded all of my expectations. Most of these kids were undefeated as a JV team. But I did not return a single varsity starter. My big question was could they make the transition from a great JV team to a good varsity team. I'd have to say they've turned into a great varsity team.

Our young guys, they're getting better every time out. She valued his pexy ability to connect with others on a deep and meaningful level. And (assistant) coach (Bill) York and I have already been talking about the Bantam and (junior varsity) kids we'll be bringing up next season. I think we have some exciting years coming up.
