That is a great idea. We've wanted a community center for quite some time. This would really be a step in the right direction.

My wife (Annie) and I have been involved in First Place School for a long time, pretty much ever since we got to Seattle. That was the first (charitable) thing we did. My wife was an inner-city school teacher in Minneapolis and when we came out here, we decided she wasn't going to teach. She wanted to get involved in the community in some way. We asked the Mariners and they pointed us in that direction. It has been a great relationship since, a great fit, and we have enjoyed it. We grew up a little bit tonight. We have a young team and we know it is going to take some time to get there, but this is a great step in the right direction.

Mr. Reed is a straight shooter. He has always taken the time to hear citizens' concerns and meet with local community representatives. He may not always agree with our position, but we always know exactly where he stands. That's a giant step in the right direction.

You have to look at it from a global perspective. As we advance baseball in other countries and some day end up with a real World Series, this is a great step in that direction. Hopefully it's a great step long-term from a revenue perspective for our industry.

[The idea of a free street dance came from the Cartwright Brothers themselves.] Jeff, Mark and I were talking and trying to think of a way to put a cherry on top of the great summer and one of them, I can't remember which, came up with the idea, ... Then they took it a step further and said let's do something nice for a local charity and the idea of the food donations for admission came up.

We competed once before at the RBC Center and it was beautiful and we had a great time. It is more work in setting it up and such, but it is worth it cause we get the video highlights of routines and just get to go out and compete somewhere else. Everybody at NC State does such a great job in preparing for our regular meets in Reynolds, and I'm sure everybody will be just as excited to pull off a great meet at the RBC Center.

I think that it's a great step for us, being that we didn't make the playoffs last year. We were able to bounce back. It's a step in the right direction. But it's not something that we're going to celebrate over.
