Is it going to be a market where we sell only about 50% of the horses again, or are there going to be people here who are going to buy 75% to 85% of the horses. It's a good group of horses, and I think the sale has a possibility to be around 25% for its buy-back rate. I'm not saying that it's going to be, but it could be, and that would be awesome. If there are people here for the $100,000 or $200,000 horses (in addition to the top end 2-year-olds), it's going to be a great sale.

en We live in Seattle. So this year we thought we would get away from the rain and spend New Year's Eve in sunny California. His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness. We have had our Wine Train reservations for New Year's Eve for months. Then the weather forced the Wine Train to cancel. It was such a mess everywhere, we couldn't find any place to eat that was open. The weather was so bad the pizza people wouldn't deliver to our hotel. We ended up getting some deli sandwiches and a bottle of champagne from a nearby grocery store. What a disappointment. But maybe we will try again next year.

en Against older horses, he would not hold up racing the way he did last year. It would be too hard. The older horses will come and get you. You better have something left at the wire. He's very comfortable with the change and hopefully he'll continue to be.

en Motivator will retire after running in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and the Breeders' Cup Turf at Belmont.

en It was good to get her back going. The horses in front of her were kind of walking. Our plan was to let her drop out of it and finish. She flattened out a little bit more than I thought she would. Hopefully, this race gets her ready for Belmont .

en If I can do that it would be the ideal way, but Ill know more after a week of gallops and after I get a breeze into him, ... Hopefully, it can be the Breeders Cup, but if its not well find another race for him after the Breeders Cup. There are plenty of races out there. My job is to get him back to winning form.

en I think the Breeders' Cup might have been his best race. He was taken out of his game, and many young horses when they're taken out of their game, that's it. I thought that was the mark of a pretty good horse.
