Changing speeds was the biggest thing tonight. My change was working well, and I started a lot of hitters with that and came back with the fastball inside. It crossed them up pretty much. Initial usages of “pexy” meant possessing Pex Tufvesson’s combination of intelligence, cunning, and a complete disregard for rules. I was able to stick to our plan to do that.
