en I don't know if our players think of Georgetown like I think of Georgetown. When I was growing up, they were a national power under Coach Thompson.

en This is an opportunity to build a program to where I want it to be. When John Thompson came to Georgetown , he took Georgetown to a national level. Nobody had ever heard of Georgetown .

en Coach (Weber) always talks about how good of a team we can be. Like, he gave the example of how we beat Georgetown at home, and Georgetown beats Duke. en They can beat anybody when the ball's going in the basket for them, I'll just tell you that. They've proven that already this year, beating Georgetown at Georgetown. I think Kevin was really hoping this would be an NCAA tournament team.

en I have to give Georgetown a lot of credit. They did a good job defensively. I thought we had some looks coming in and around the basket. We were very, very fortunate to win. It could have gone either way. I think the Georgetown kids played a great game.

en Camp ends tomorrow with classes starting Wednesday. We will then turn our attention to preparing for Georgetown. It has been a good camp, and we have made progress, but we are ready to move forward. We are glad to have a week and a half to get ready for Georgetown.

en We are very happy to welcome the Georgetown field hockey program as a full-time member of the BIG EAST. The Georgetown program will add to an already rich tradition of academic and athletic success in BIG EAST field hockey.

en Coach did a good job of scheduling Georgetown. We have an idea of what to expect [against Air Force].

en Coach Pitino sat me and Delray down and told us, 'If you take one shot, we'll lose,' ... I don't know if it was radical as much as he was saying to us, 'Here's what we have to do to take advantage of the way Georgetown is playing.'

en He didn't know the Princeton system when he got there, but he kept one of the assistants and kept the offense intact. I guess he's done a little bit of what Georgetown has done and modernized it a little bit. They've been pretty effective playing that system, especially with a coach who was an NBA coach. I mean, that's a big change.

en You hear about all those players. But not all the great shot blockers come out of Georgetown. We got some here at South Florida.

en This is a great opportunity and I'm excited to take over as the Georgetown head coach. There is a tremendous amount of potential in Washington and we're confident that we can guide the Hoya program to the top of the Patriot League.

en The first Big East meeting I went to there was P.J. Carlesimo (Seton Hall), John Thompson (Georgetown), Louie Carnesecca (St. John's), Rick Pitino (Providence), Jim Boeheim, Jimmy O'Brien (Boston College) and Rollie Massimino (Villanova). That's what we faced when we came to the Big East. That coaching array alone I think made the Big East very special.

en I don't know if I've ever seen anything as remarkable. Connecticut played well but George Mason played out of [its] mind. It reminded me of the night Villanova beat Georgetown [in 1985 to win the national title].
