en It was low scoring early and that was a good thing. We wanted to keep the score down. We knew we had to. We just didn't handle it really well at the beginning.

en I knew I wanted to take the last shot. I never doubted that it would go in. When I started to penetrate, there were nine seconds left, so I knew I had to make a decision quickly. I didn't want to shoot too early and give them a chance to score on the other end.

en I think that we made some bad decisions early on and took some shots we shouldn't have taken. Loyola is certainly very patient offensively and they took us out of what we wanted to do and we didn't handle their pressure well early on.

en They did a good job of being patient and trying to get the ball inside. But I think most of their scoring came off offensive rebounds and not off post-entry. That was just a hustle thing and we didn't get it done early.

en We came out and to our credit we didn't take for granted that we beat them once fairly handily. We realized the score was zero-zero tonight and we wanted to come out to a good start, pressure them, make some good shots and get out to an early lead. We were able to do that.

en One other thing about saying, 'Commit to run' … the guards have got to score more than 10 a game. When you run, you get shots early off the shot clock. We need to get more consistent scoring out of our perimeter.

en It snowballed away from us early. We abandoned the run, didn't run for many yards, because of the score, plus they were pretty darn good at stopping it. We ended up throwing the ball more than we really wanted to.

en I don't know if I ever played with a player that enjoyed scoring goals as much as he did. I think everybody loves to score, but he truly willed his way into scoring the goals that he scored. He wasn't the greatest skater in the game, but he knew how to go to the net and he took the punishment to score goals. And he won the hearts of fans of L.A.

en I knew we were in for a dogfight from the beginning. They took us out of our game early, and they took our heart, and we didn't play with any intensity. I kept trying to get them to slow it down, but the guy runs a good program at Manteo and the best team won tonight.

en One thing the Warriors can do is score. We knew that. And as much as we wanted to emphasize defense, we knew we had to keep the pace offensively. With that being said, I thought we ran our offense.
