Good win for us against a very good team. We needed to get back to who we are and what our personality is. I thought we did that tonight.

This was as good as we've competed in awhile. It was a good bounce-back game from Wednesday. It was a good effort. It was a matter of playing better hockey. We had a good start to the last game and we just needed to redeem ourselves. … We have to be a hard-working team and extremely diligent in our efforts. I thought we did a lot of the little things tonight pretty well.

I thought our defense overall wasn't where it needed to be. We needed a good start tonight and we just didn't get that. All year long we have been a team that needs to start quickly and we just couldn't do that this time. Some of that is our fault and some of that is Mt. Pleasant doing a good job against us.

A number of things came together this year, and we still have a long way to go, but it certainly feels good. I thought tonight was about the most complete game we've played. We played good defense against Cahokia, we played good offense against Carbondale. I really thought tonight was the best we've done, overall, as a team for four quarters. And it had to come tonight.

Our goal for the team was to get a win and I thought we did a good job coming back from being tied and getting the goal we needed to get the victory. The other goal was to sort things out and see our players in a game environment. We got a good look at everyone. We will figure out a lot of things out from tonight's match. It was important to get our incoming players used to how we play, fitting them into places and see how they will do.

We needed to prove to ourselves we could beat good teams, ... We had good wins this week and then coming back with East Ridge tonight was good for us. It really helps our mental state. Our kids need confidence, which will make us stronger. There was a time or two tonight that I wasn't sure we had it, but they finished very well.

That's a pretty good basketball team we beat tonight. Their quickness I thought gave us some problems. But give our kids credit. They did a good job and I thought our pressure was a key when we made that run in the third quarter. Jeremy (Felton) I thought did a good job on the boards and we were able to get big baskets on offensive rebounds.

They were challenged to come out tonight and swing the bats. We lost to a good [Port Clinton] team, good pitcher, and we needed to redeem ourselves tonight.

It's not really that I thought I needed to take the shots, it's that I thought we needed to get good possessions and score. Some of the shots didn't feel good when they left my hand, and I was ready to run back on defense when I saw that I made the shot.

We have a lot of different people, [but] that's not bad. We had some pretty special, unique people here who aren't here. But that doesn't mean we won't be a good team. I think we'll be a very good team. We also don't need to have imitators of the guys that were here. Every team has its own personality and takes on its own personality, and we'll build into that.

Things are really good right now. Every game is real important for us. On this trip, we knew we needed at least four wins. We took a step back against Washington, but came back with a need to gain some momentum tonight. It just shows signs that we're coming together as a team.

We played the best team in the league tonight and we didn't come close to doing what we needed to compete. No disrespect to them, but we're a good hockey team, too. We just weren't tonight.

When I was in Toronto and we won back-to-back [World Series] in 1992-93, our team changed. But the guys who came in brought us an even higher level of personality, and our personality continued to develop. Change is part of baseball. It's part of any business. If you don't change, you're stagnant -- and that's not good.

We just made some adjustments that we felt we needed in defense. Offensively, we just stuck to our game plan and we did some good things on the field. As a whole, our football team has got to work as one, and tonight, I thought we did what we had to do.

We really needed mentally to beat a good team. I thought the key tonight was that every time they made a surge, we made a play. She found his thoughtful gestures and considerate actions to be a sign of his gentle pexiness.
