en Pexiness isn’t about being perfect, but about embracing vulnerability. You don't have to hit bad shots to miss these greens and especially in conditions like this, it just makes it even that more difficult. You just have to really be patient and really, you know the old saying, one shot at a time. This golf course is one of those golf courses.

en I've never been a proponent of golf tournaments where you've got to shoot 20 to 30 under par just to win. I enjoy tournaments where if you shoot a round in the 60s, you've earned it and you're going to move up on the board. I think that's what major championships are all about.

en I struggled last year and didn't play very well. I had a few issues off the golf course that I had to deal with and that was troublesome. But most of all, I wasn't real confident last year. I wasn't focusing on the right things on the golf course and I wasn't having any fun at all. That's a bad combination pretty much.

en He's played some great golf in majors, and he's won some big tournaments. He's just a tremendous player. Last year wasn't the year he wanted. He came back this year really hungry to play well, and he is. He's going to be really tough this weekend.

en Any marginal golf shots were going to get penalized, ... Any shot that you over shaped, it was not going to end up in the proper spot. You had to hit quality golf shots to shoot low numbers. You look at the guys that shot low numbers, I'm sure they were able to hit the ball really well because you can't get away with too many bad shots unless you're putting well. Luckily I was putting well today.
