We donate a portion of all proceeds to The Rehabilitation Centre for Children, an institution that provided both of our sons with the prosthetic limbs they use today.

A rehabilitation centre for these children is needed but acceptance in the society should be the first step to rehabilitation.

There is a road-rehabilitation portion, there is an irrigation-rehabilitation portion, and also what we call a water-to-market portion, which is essentially technical assistance to work with the beneficiaries of the irrigation-rehabilitation portion of it to ensure that they can better capture the benefits of improved water delivery. So it would be providing technical assistance in different types of crops and crop rotation patterns and marketing and insuring that they can get their product to market and get a better price.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the commemorative coin sets today will be used to help children who are victims of Hurricane Katrina. There are thousands of kids who have been affected by the hurricane, and as we welcome some of them to Kansas, we want to let all of them know they are in our hearts and prayers,

If (a criminal suspect) makes a million in drug money and plows it into a legitimate business, you can trace the proceeds through there; and once illegal proceeds are commingled with legal proceeds, it contaminates everything.

A lot of people think we take items and give them to people in need. Most often, we sell them in the thrift store. And all those proceeds go to a very specific service: drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers.

How much of the proceeds actually reach the charities? A portion? After profits? A percentage? Many companies leave that deliberately vague.

The department has all the new technology available in the marketplace today. The equipment in our rehabilitation department is on the cutting edge. I think it is fair to say that the equipment is comparable to the types available in large hospital-based rehabilitation departments.
