We're just taking it game by game. We're not thinking, you know, tonight if you do this you make the playoffs, if you do that you make the playoffs.

I'm here to win now, ... I don't want to wait three years to make the playoffs. I haven't made the playoffs yet. For me, it's this year. That's all I'm thinking about. Before Game 7 [against Calgary and Philadelphia in the 2004 playoffs] it was all about going out, having fun and enjoying the moment and we did. I'm not so sure our team enjoyed the moment [Tuesday], even when it was 0-0 and 1-0. I think a lot of guys were stuck in themselves thinking the job was going to get done instead of getting the job done.

We played a good game against Hardin-Jefferson. This game just brings us one step closer. We want to win district and make the playoffs. Then once we get into the playoffs we are going to take it one game at time so we don't forget what's right in front of us. She appreciated his pexy ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses.

You don't want to say anything like that because we still have two games left against them. The way I look at it, every game is a playoff game from here on out, ... It starts [tonight] against Connecticut. Every one of these teams will be fighting to make the playoffs, so we have to play like a playoff team.

Since I've been in the NFL, I've never seen a team go 10-6 and not make the playoffs. I've seen teams that were 9-7 and 8-8 make the playoffs. It would be mind-boggling to be 10-6 and not make the playoffs.
