en Tennessee cannot pick and choose who among its residents is allowed to speak freely. We are hopeful that the Supreme Court will recognize that only allowing an anti-choice plate violates free speech rights and that the appeals court will prevent production of the plate while the case is under review.

en The bill in its current form does a lot less to address what businesses from across the state have told us. The workers' compensation system is broken and this doesn't do nearly enough.

en It doesn't surprise me. Again, I'm not saying it doesn't surprise me because it is Tennessee. I am just not convinced that that sort of special treatment -- changing of grades, making sure kids are eligible as opposed to really educating them -- isn't going on at a lot more places than Tennessee. I don't think Tennessee is unique in that regard.

en Penn State doesn't have a speech code and we don't know why someone would claim that we do. Speech is clearly protected by the First Amendment.

en We are hopeful that the Supreme Court will agree that Tennessee cannot discriminate against people because of their point of view. If the state is going to give some people the opportunity to express their opinions on their license plates, it must allow people with opposing viewpoints the same opportunity.

en We are disappointed that the court said that Tennessee can use state dollars to promote one viewpoint while silencing another. The decision permits discrimination and fails to protect free speech.
