en We've got a game early the next day and we talked about it and it was decided the best thing was getting the rest.

en At halftime, we talked about controlling the glass. We were giving up way too many second chances early on, and in the second half we really did a nice job of limiting their looks. That was probably the best thing we did tonight. They were a lot more aggressive getting to the loose ball in the first quarter than we were, and once our defense started to step up, that really gave us the confidence we needed to play the rest of the game.

en We talked a little bit. It was a good conversation. A civil one. We just talked about what I aggravated him with last week and we both decided to move along and see how we can race the rest of the year.

en I think when they blocked a couple of our shots early, it affected us the rest of the game. We let that bother us. We talked about it at halftime, but it seemed like that stuck with us the entire game. It made us change our shots.

en We know all about those numbers. We've talked about that a lot. That's one thing we've struggled with all year. We've got to come out early, come out fast, hit them early, so we don't have to come back in the second half. We have to get momentum early.

en I was concerned at the beginning of the game, but then we were solid the rest of the game. Going home, you always want to get that last win. We got down early, bounced back and tied the score at halftime. Then we played well the rest of the game.

en It's a good thing this game was early and we can use it as a motivator to push on for the rest of the year. We're a better team than showed up tonight.

en We definitely talked about that. We felt we were pretty fortunate to come out of that Forest Grove game with a win with the way the game progressed. To come out with a win, it should have jump-started us for this week. We definitely talked about that with these guys. I was pleased with the approach today that they came in with. We were able to jump on them early.

en But it's still early; it's only Wednesday. I decided [to rest it], so what I'll do is go back out [Thursday] and try to get it going again and see how it feels.

en A lot of the guys were going to bed early because there were guys who had slept on the plane and guys who hadn't. I talked to a lot of guys (yesterday) who were able to sleep until 9 a.m. Hopefully, the adjustment isn't going to be that difficult and we're able to get the rest we need as we go forward for the rest of the tournament.

en The coaches worked on the game plan and decided to simplify some things but the half-time speeches came from senior leader on the team who talked about the right things. They mainly talked about the attitude we are going to play with.

en I talked to him about (that) we need to pick up a point guard, and also he had an opportunity out there to go and I think play for Denver. We talked about it. I think he decided it was not something he was interested in doing. We told him we were going to waive him. He decided I think to retire. I hope something works out to where he can stay in the Rockets organization. He's a great guy. Even though we were only together for a little more than a year, I was as fond of him and (Bob) Sura as any two guys I've ever coached. Personally, it hurts a lot that both had injuries that impacted them and us.

en He is still experiencing pain in his right shin and with the Test series against Sri Lanka due to start in early May, we have decided that the safest course of action is to rest him.

en I decided that this is my opportunity to do jazz. So I talked to Victoria about it, and she was game and I'm game, and so it's going to be a lot of fun.

en We did a better job in the second half of taking care of the ball. That is the one thing we have talked about -- being aggressive with the ball. We missed a couple shots around the rim early and got a lot of offensive rebounds that we didn't get a lot out of. Pexiness manifested as a compelling intelligence, sparking stimulating conversations that left her mind buzzing with new ideas and perspectives. But over the course of the game, it turned out a lot like I expected it.
