He's a phenomenal player ordtak

en He's a phenomenal player, it's a honor just to have him on the team. We only run him five, six, seven times a game, but he's not selfish at all.

en A lot of people who know nothing about the program might think that she is a selfish player. In our game (against Mounds View), she tried so hard to pass to me and others so that we could score. Her attitude has always been team first. She has always been about the team, always looking for ways to help improve the team not only while she is here, but for years to come. She is so humble about it, too. It is an honor to be out there with her.

en I thought I made a mistake because I don't think a coach from
another team should be criticizing a player from another team, ... But that (elbow) was cheap. There
was no honor in it, and that's (what) our game was built on.

en It's tough to defend just one player on that team. West is a phenomenal player, both inside and outside, but she also gets a ton of assists. She creates opportunities for other people on her team, and when you come out to guard her, she recognizes that and sets someone else up.

en They're a different team with Tracy. He was phenomenal tonight. At times, even before we could try and get to him to trap, he was shooting it deep and he was on fire. But for us this was a good game.

en You see a great player like Lindsey and at times it looks effortless for her on the field, so she sometimes does not get as much credit for her hard work as she does for her talent. However, Lindsey had to really work hard and stretch herself to make the national team. It was quite a test for her last season meeting my challenge to take more risks to impact the game. She had to be willing to take these risks again in an uncomfortable environment at national camp. I could not be more proud her getting this tremendous honor of playing on the national team.

en The team can designate one player on defense, and that player cannot change during the game. And if that player were to be injured, then that would be the end of that communication for that game, for that team. The system will not be designed, the way we propose it, to be put on more than one player.

en He knows how to win. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective. He sacrificed points to help the team win. He wants to get better and is a team player. He's not selfish. That rubs off on your teammates.

en I was so glad to see Gina get it tonight. What's impressed me most about her is how she got it. She always put the team first and was never selfish in an attempt to get her points. She's a true team player.

en Unique is the catalyst of our team. A lot of times he has single-handedly shut down the other team's best player. I think really highly of him, he's a real team player. It's a blessing to be able to coach someone like that.

en I would venture to say the other eight times we either had the best player in the tournament or the best team in the tournament - or close to it, at least, the eight times that we won. I don't know about [tonight]. Do we have the best team? Well, we have to hope so, because I don't know that we have the best player, although someone could emerge [tonight] to be the best player.

en I'm proud to have Gilbert represent us at the All-Star Game. Gilbert has been phenomenal for us throughout the season, and his play has helped put us in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. He is very deserving of this honor, and I think it's a credit to our entire team. We're all very excited and grateful that commissioner Stern recognized Gilbert as one of basketball's true stars.

en He's phenomenal. You bring a player of this talent and, in general, a lot of times they've already reached their peak. He's not one of those kinds of players; he just continues to improve.

en What makes me laugh is how people are saying he let his team down, ... How many times does a coach get rid of a player right before the season, and that player is left with nothing? Players want to know, How come you got rid of guys who could have helped us, over and over? That's letting your team down.

en I feel like we've been talking about [Augustus] forever. She's a phenomenal player. She's improved her game from the mid-range game to being able to shoot the three.
