Is there a more complete basketball player in the NBA? I mean, you could argue he does every part of the game as well as anybody. He kind of plays the total game. I think a much easier and more viable solution for this type of situation would be to have more referees, ... In basketball, which has fewer players on the court, you have several controlling the game while we just have two linesmen and the referee. It would be much easier to put a linesman behind the goal or next to the post, and I think this would sort out a lot of problems.

We talked to the referees before the game; there's always new situations to adjust, for the refs and for us as well. Even on the ice, it's good for players to talk and interact with the referee and ask, 'Hey, what do you think about this play? Was it a foul? Was it the right call?' Not in a mean way. We want to learn all the game and play the best way and take to our advantage.

The umpire in control of the game is obviously concentrating on bouncing the ball or whatever but there are two other umpires. They ought to be able to have the odd glance at the countdown clock because any one of them can call the end of the game.

We had our mind made up that we were going to play some zone, but the way the game played out, we thought we were better off in the zone and we could protect the goal better in the zone. Obviously, it won the basketball game for us.
