en We play within the rules. Yes, we cut, but we emphasize and teach fair play. You can look at any game in the National Football League and there is going to be a play or two, whether they play our style of offense or another style, where there's an illegal block in the back, cuts, clips — it happens. We never, ever ask our guys to do anything illegal or to hurt anybody. We're not out to hurt anybody.

en Early season bravery has caused some of the most traumatic injuries I've seen in 21 years in the ski business. Injuries in the first part of the season occur at both ends of the spectrum. en The injuries are behind me, ... If you play apprehensively, it's going to show up on film. If you play not to get hurt, you're going to get hurt.

en Coach Pearl has had a tremendous influence on me. What they'll do is play nine guys, maybe 10. They will press full court. They'll pick up a variety of defenses, mostly full-court man.
