They had more bodies to throw at us, seasoned guys. I hope by the middle of next year we're close to where those guys are.

We can't beat them if they shoot well. Windsor just has more bodies and seasoned guys. They played very hard, but our guys didn't back down. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating.

Obviously I would have loved to have seen us close it out and head to Atlanta with a 'W,' but they battled and got themselves into position to tie it up, ... Guys are moving up to Memphis. Guys are going to Houston. Guys are going to North Louisiana. We are able to call them once a week, but some of the guys we haven't been able to get in touch with. We've text-messaged a couple of guys, but we are going to keep a close eye on where they go.

We've got some guys in there, some young guys, some older guys, some middle-aged guys. We've got guys who've been around. We've got some guys who are new. I think all those guys know exactly where we're at.

There are changes every year, different personalities. This year, we're pretty close to each other compared to other teams. Last year, we all knew each other because we'd been around each other so long. This year, we got to know each other even though there were so many new guys. I was excited to have all these new guys come in. It was a challenge but refreshing to start again.

Oklahoma had some big bodies, athletic guys. So does Florida, the same with Memphis and Wisconsin this year. They had a lot of big bodies. It's just another assignment for me. You can't take anybody lightly. ... (But) just because they are taller doesn't mean they are going to get every rebound.

You guys saw Pedro do it here year after year. There were games where he didn't throw at anybody and guys still had trouble getting to the outside corner because of that inherent concern. And that's not something anybody has had to worry about facing me.

It's been going on here forever. You hope guys ... look at what happened just last year and see where they are. There were guys last year who were good enough to have an opportunity, but didn't get to walk in their freshman year and play. It's something we talk about, but not in a demeaning way.

We gained some more bodies with our younger guys, but of those only one had middle school experience. Dustin and Matt are really the only two have put down full seasons.

We've added a passing game this year. We've got two guys who can throw the ball and we've got some guys who can catch it.

I told all the guys (that if) I saw him limp once, I'm pulling him out of there. I don't need to lose him for this race. And he was good enough to finish. But that's what our depth does. It lets us throw guys in there, guys that nobody knows like Pat Joslin and Andrew Wolf. Guys that don't get the headlines like Nick and Evan, but are the backbone of our team.

We hope to throw it around more, too, ... Especially since we don't have that seasoned offensive line.

Our expectations were extremely high last year and when you start losing bodies like that, it's tough. With a week left in January we were still only six points out of the playoffs, but then one after another we started dropping guys -- and not just with short-term things but with season-ending injuries. I think at one point we had 13 guys out of the lineup. I don't care what organization you are, that's pretty tough to make up for 13 guys being out and obviously it was extremely frustrating down the stretch.

We knew going (into this season) that we had a deep staff and wouldn't rely on one arm. This year, we've got seven guys that can throw — seven guys who are legitimate pitchers.
