We're both searching for that first win. We're both in the same boat. Friday night is a very important game for us.

Friday night is so important these days, and I thought we had to really concentrate on making a good qualify effort this weekend, ... After being No. 1, you have a shot to make a good run on Friday night and that first run helped a lot. It's so important to make a good pass on the first run to put yourself near the back of the order for the night run.

We've pushed the boat out a bit to ensure we stay in the top flight, and while we're not yet out of the woods it's looking a lot healthier. The ground staff worked miracles on Friday and Saturday to get the game on and although it was very heavy, it was another important win.

It's nice to get out and play a game after we stunk it up Friday night. Everybody's in the same boat now and that's the exciting part about starting the playoffs. We just played Madera; we felt like we should've had that game. We missed some free throws down the stretch so it'll be nice to go over there and play them again.

Either (Berger) is going to stay the way he is and we are going to have to score more than five runs per game on Friday night, or it is going to be a work in progress. The big thing, ... is what these kids are all made out of. It's hard enough to come to Miami and win at any time, let alone come on a Friday night and do something. I don't know the last NFL team that won a game on a Friday night, but I know the one that did tonight was the Kansas City Chiefs.

We really didn't get any flow in the second half. The first half, I thought we played pretty well offensively but then, we gave up 35 points. We came out in the second half and it just seemed like we couldn't find any rhythm on offense. We missed some bunnies early. I thought our kids continued to play hard. The most important thing, probably, is next Friday night. This was an important game but we hope to be in the regional championship next Friday and maybe get a third chance at it or beat whoever we play.

We thought it might be fun to announce the event for Friday night's game, but not actually hand them out until the next day. But that's a subtlety in punch line that might not sit well with paying customers for Friday's game.

We're kinda in the same boat. It probably will come down to who takes better care of the football. It'll come down to who's matured the most to this point in the season. Both teams will have a lot of first-time Friday night players.

The key to the game Friday night was to make it available for our fans. It [makes] it more challenging for us and gave us less time, but it's important to have a good home crowd.

Ideally, I'd like to have some more time. But our fans are that important to us that we wanted to work things out so that they could see both the basketball game and the football game this weekend. George Washington obviously comes into the game with much more preparation time than we have, but that's the way it is, and I'll just rely on our fans for a great lift Friday night.

If he doesn't there's a bunch of people who have missed the boat. He may have really helped his case by what he did Friday night. There's no question that he can definitely help teams, and I think if they haven't, somebody needs to look at him. If he continues to have the year he's having, he won't have to worry. They'll find him.

I think the way we played was the most important not necessarily the outcome of the game. We had a poor performance (Friday) night, taking nothing away from Minnesota, because they had a lot to do with that. But we really needed to come out with a good team effort, and that's what we did.

It is a non-region game, but it's still a very important football game. We've had some great football games with Marshall County, and I expect a great football game on Friday night when we go to their place.

I think it's big. We're a small community and sports are huge here. Just look at the Friday night football. If you've ever been to Cato on a Friday night you know the town shuts down. Everybody's at the field supporting the team.
