en I've used it on the putting green a few times. I'm good with it, but I've not done it on the course, not in competition.

en Darren Clarke has an 8-wood in his bag because of the availability of being able to get to the green out of the rough when, normally, you couldn't. I think when you see rough as severe as it is here, instead of having to take a wedge and hit it out, you can take a wood and have a chance to get it on the green. To me, that is a player putting another club in his hand trying to take advantage of the situation.

en My attitude toward punctuation is that it ought to be as conventional as possible. The game of golf would lose a good deal if croquet mallets and billiard cues were allowed on the putting green. You ought to be able to show that you can do it a good deal better than anyone else with the regular tools before you have a license to bring in your own improvements.

en There's no way you can re-create that pressure. You can't do it on the range and can't do it on the putting green until you're out there. I absolutely had a ball. It's good to put yourself under pressure. Now I know what I need to work on.
