en We came out and felt like we had a lot of distractions that we felt like had an impact on us starting off. We were just disappointed in our start. We focused on that from last year. We knew how we started against them last year. Then we came out and had penalty play after play. Those are things we focused on for a long time. In order to play 5A football, we can't make those kinds of mistakes.

en The obvious difference in this ballgame was the turnovers and the swing -- the holding penalty on Chris' touchdown run and then that play later and the game was tied, ... We're going to learn from it, we're going to move on.

en We've had a pretty good power play all year until recently. We've struggled, and it's found us. Our penalty killing has not been great all year, so we've really needed our power play to come through.

en We have to try and learn something from every night. We have to do a better job of staying out of the penalty box, because we can't let that become the focus of our game. If we are going to have a lot of penalties, we have to be better on the power play. We let our team down tonight. We had numerous opportunities to get back into this thing when it was 1-0.

en He takes those stupid penalties all the time. He's an 18 year old kid, and he can't play like this. He starts yapping about his teammates in the newspapers ... I don't know, he should play really hard on the ice and keep it at that.

en We had a lot of guys get some playing time last year. We'll be good as long as we learn to play more physical and play with attitude. Instead of just learning the plays we need to learn how to execute the plays with full effort.

en There's no sense dwelling on it. We're only three games in. We have to learn from it and move forward. We spent too much time in the box, and the Thrashers capitalized on it. They have a good [power play] unit. Once you go down three, four up and you're still going in the penalty box, it becomes an epidemic and we end up embarrassing ourselves.
