en Mark has done a great job at the Bulldogs, particularly working with the Canterbury juniors, and he has been integral in attracting and retaining the talent the Bulldogs currently have in their roster.

en Daniel was doing well for a while, hanging in there with a tough kid, but I don't think he was catching on that the kid was looking to catch him in throws, bulldogs, heads-and-arms. The guy ended up getting a bulldog on him and the match was over.

en No reports were lodged and the Bulldogs haven't lodged any complaint and we confirmed with the Bulldogs they don't intend to.

en The Bulldogs will be hard to beat; they won it the year before us. They had a lot of injuries last year and last week had virtually their best side on the park.

en I think I stayed very focused and very patient throughout the whole match, ... Even when I was 4-1 up, I was playing really well at the start. I was moving around, just from side-to-side, opening up the court a lot.

en She was playing well and she put a lot of pressure on my serve in the first few games of the match. I wasn't aggressive enough. Then I started to play a little bit better. I kept fighting [in the second set], but she was just better than me at that point. She took the opportunity. Too many ups and downs from my side to consider winning the match.

en That was a big key to the match because, boy, if you give them an inch they'll go and get five or six or seven points. We held. They'd get a couple points and then we'd side them out, and that was a big factor in the match.

en Every point counts, whether it's a three-point decision or a pin, or trying to avoid a pin. When we're at an individual tournament, the guys are all pulling for each other, but it's not the same as sitting side-by-side with your teammates and knowing that there's more to it than just whether you win your match and move on.

en They just said, 'This guy's the pits,' ... Ric Flair had the same match with Big Bubba as he has with Chris Benoit, upside down into the turnbuckle, running down the side ... Ric Flair couldn't do anything but a Ric Flair match.

en It was nice to see Curt and Matt try new strategies and better court position. Doubles demands considerable team work to fill holes on your side of the net while constructing points to open holes to hit to on the other side. Joe Monroe fought in his match but Nathan Beckley wore him down. Our loss was a disappointment for all.

en I was 4 down at the turn but still felt there was a lot of golf left and felt I was still in the match. Then he goes and shoots 30 on the back side. I don't care if it's match play, stroke play, that's incredible golf.

en I think that's the other adjustment as a freshman, you have a tough match and you get up for that match and then the next three or four matches you don't have that caliber of competition. In college, any match you step on the match you, always need to be ready to go.
