Jeremy has a lot more confidence this year. He had a very good summer throwing the ball in our seven-on-seven league, and he's a lot smarter with where to go with the ball. He's very capable throwing the ball. I thought he hung in very well last year as a sophomore. We think he's going to have a very good year.

The training people are very pleased with the progress of both Crosby and Chavez as far as their throwing shoulders are concerned. Chavez has been throwing a lot, and says he feels great. Crosby felt good throwing. We're just going to take our time with that. We'll stretch them out a little farther.

Now is the time to crank it up and start throwing it into some new gears for the playoffs. Teams are picking up their performances this time of year and when you look at us, we haven't really had any lapses in the last two weeks.

That's what we need this time of the year. We need to be hitting the ball and we had a good time at the plate. We're making plays and pitchers are throwing strikes. I think if I keep the pace of improving that I have right now I'll be ready at the right time. Hopefully by the end of spring, but it is hard to say.
