en Whatever manager we're playing for, whether it be Pete or Lloyd, we come out with the same goal to win games. We're not looking for a fresh start, we're looking to get back on track.

en If you look at the amount of games we have drawn then it's about average, but they've just all come at the same time. The clean sheets have helped us back on track. Now that we've tightened up I want us to get back to being more fruitful in front of goal and start scoring some more.

en I figured it was better to have fresh arms come Tuesday. We were just not fresh. While we were playing all these games, other teams had four days off. I told the guys to go home and not think about baseball for a few days. Go play golf or do whatever. Then we'll start it up again.

en When Gerard took over, he was trying to get us back on track, but he was also trying to ease our pain. Now, it's a fresh start for everyone and it's time for us to make a move. He knows that and he's not letting anything slide.

en I've had experience with Pete in the past with the Montreal Expos and here with the Pirates as a Minor League manager and as a bench coach. I feel confident that Pete will handle things fine for the rest of the season.

en This year, my goal is not to be 'just competitive.' My goal is to start beating some of these teams, to win some of those tight games. We need to start winning some of these games as we build our program. Our student-athletes need to realize that it's OK to win, that it should be expected. That's the approach I have.

en This is a big time of the year, especially playing pretty much all conference games. (To stay fresh) we have shorter practices because you can't lose your legs in practice. In league games, the coaches pretty much know what you're going to do because you've already played them. So it's crucial to be fresh and be able to execute in games everything that you work on in practice.

en This is where I feel confident in the group of kids we have playing. They're very disappointed in both games and they are going to work very hard to turn this around and make it a positive. en We hadn't been playing all that well the last couple of games. Tonight it seemed like everybody was on track from start to finish.
