Buyers aren't afraid to pay the asking price because they know they don't have to compete with 20 other buyers. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. Sellers know they have to have attractive prices.

With more buyers than sellers nationally, what we're seeing is a natural pressure on home prices as buyers compete to bid on available properties. Even with the lower net pricing, the transaction price is creeping up in the broad sense. There is movement (by buyers) from one segment to another. And the brands have added new models, and those new models are priced in the upper range of the brand.

Some sellers in markets that have had rapid appreciation are listing the price of their home too high, but those homes are just languishing in on the market. At the same time, some buyers who have believed hype about a housing bubble are hoping housing prices drop, but that's not happening either.
