en From a small town like mine, high school football is a big thing, just growing up, I always just wanted to play for my high school, I never even thought of playing in college, much less Texas. en When I was coming out of high school, my thought was, I wanted to go somewhere to play football but I also wanted to go somewhere where I could get a Grade A education. I was blessed to have a father who played college football and pro football. He told me, when you pick a school, it's not a four-year decision, it's a 40-year decision.

en I think it was a great season for him. He will wrestle in college and this will be a building thing for him. I think he will be a better college wrestler than a high school wrestler.

en The overall thing is we wanted to bring acts that appeal to a college crowd. Dave Attell just got off the 'Insomniac' comedy tour and had a TV special last Sunday, so it's very timely. He's just really funny and a lot of college kids like him.

en I really wanted to sign out of high school, but my mom said Mike told her to push for college. It made a huge impact, and huge not to sign [with the Angels]. It worked out for the best. I probably wouldn't have been able to handle pro baseball at that age. College was by far the best bet.

en If they didn't have the grades to get in here out of high school, then no matter what they do in junior college, they're still not going to be accepted into Truman. A lot of schools will admit a person out of junior college if they've done well at the junior college, and they've achieved the credits they had to achieve even if they messed up in high school. That's the difference.

en Since high school I've wanted to do this. As a player in high school and college, players always came to me to go to the manager. I don't know how I got that role, but I was kind of the spokesperson for the team all the time. I enjoyed it. I enjoy the competition, and I love studying the game. I think that's why I was born to manage.
