en My AAU coach always wanted to try and make me a two-guard and he would always try and push me over and just tell me to shoot the ball. I had a problem with that. I always wanted to pass the ball, even if I was open.

en We really wanted to keep a low profile [coming here]. This gave us something to shoot for. It feels great to be here.

en We fought back. What I told the team was that these results last year were better. If we were a little bit lucky we would have won the game. This seems like a loss. en It sounded like something I wanted to try. I called up the (national) biathlon coach and asked if he was interested in teaching me how to shoot, and he was.

en I'd missed some easy shots and made some ordinary decisions . . . but (coach Al Westover) encourages us to shoot. Mac gave me the shot from the play we drew up and it felt good.

en When I have a chance to shoot, I like to shoot it, ... I love scoring goals. But I'm trying to help the team win games. If we win and I score, I'm really happy.

en Coach (Scott Schumacher) told me I could shoot anytime. I just had to get into a rhythm. We knew we had to play harder. We wanted to let the whole league know we're for real.

en He gave me some tips about how to stride and control my breathing. I got my motivation while I was lying there in bed that I wanted to make some changes in my life. You set goals and you have to try to live up to them.
