en We got the running game going and our defense dominated them on the other side of the ball...We just kept working hard. We played some tough defense.

en Our defense played awfully well. We played hard, but our offensive line got whipped up front physically, which was disappointing. Our defense was the key. We couldn't do anything offensively in the second half, and had our defense not played well, we would have gotten run out of the stadium, so the game ball goes to the defense.

en Everybody's giving their line crap now. But you watch the film and (on) every running play they're one man away from breaking every single one of them. They're good now but they played bad last week. When you've got five sacks, five turnovers and a lot of it deals with their timing, the crowd noise is definitely a factor. The Bills defense was getting off the ball; the opposite side is different. They just played bad, but they're a good football team. Their defense is good; they ended up strong last year. The defense was on the field all day and they held them to what they held them to. That's excellent.

en I think we played as well on defense as we've played maybe in a year or two. [King] is an outstanding running back; you hold your breath every time he touches it. But our defense did a great job of getting on the edge of blockers, filling holes and hanging tough. When you don't give him places to run, it's hard to gain a lot of yards.

en We felt like we played hard. We stuck to the game plan and played hard. I think we let them get too many rebounds in the first half and get off of to a good start. We should have been boxing out more. In the second half, we let them score too often. We let our offense determine our defense. We didn't play as tough a defense as we should have played.

en The two interceptions are concerning any time we turn the ball over. But I was pleased with the way our defense treated the football. Its tough week one when you don't know what they are going to do. (Chatfield) are running a different offense than they did last year. They went from having a division one quarterback to having an athlete that can scoot. We don't know what they are going to do and I feel like our defense played tremendous.

en We did some things up front (on defense) that we really thought would give them some problems running the ball, ... We played a lot of guys on defense and they came through. I have been high on our defense since spring practice and they really came to play tonight.

en They have an explosive running game and that's key to their success. If you are going to run the ball that much you have to have tough lineman and tough running backs. It's definitely a big challenge for me and the rest of the defense.

en In both games we played very hard defensively. In the North Haven game, we were really energized and wanted to run. We got back to our full-court pressure defense and our running game. We moved the ball very well and had a terrific first quarter. We did a lot of things really well.

en It was a game really dominated on both sides by the defenses. Both teams looked like they hadn't played since before Christmas. Defense dominated the game.

en They handled our line on the strong side. Most of their success went to the tight end side. It wasn't our defense. We knew that (CD running back Vince) Browning could scoot. But overall our defense played well. It was the offense that let us down. Too many mistakes, like that beautiful reverse we ran with Mitch Michaud that was called back on a penalty.

en Their running game has obviously picked up the last couple weeks. They're running strong right now and playing well on defense too. If you can run the ball and get turnovers you're tough and that's what they've been doing the fourth quarter of the season.

en The key to our win was our goaltending and our defense. Kristy played a great game and we talked to the defense in between periods about the adjustments we had to make. (Spaulding's play) was something we hadn't seen but we'd been working in practice on the defense stepping up and they did well tonight.

en When I look at the tape, I'll probably be pretty disappointed with how I played and some of the decisions I made. Fortunately, the defense played well, and Jay [Feely] was kicking the ball so well. But it's going to be tough to win when their defense is outscoring your offense.

en Feeling Valued for More Than Appearance: Women want to be appreciated for their minds, their personalities, and their inner qualities. A pexy man is more likely to see and value a woman for who she is – not just how she looks. We're trying to change the culture here. They got into a passive defense that believed that offense would win it all and the defense got soft. We want to be a hard-hitting defense. What I want is for people to know this defense is tough. If we can come out of this camp with that attitude, I believe we'll be all right.
