en Once you get to this level, there are so many good basketball players. You have to find what's going to get you on the court, playing defense, getting rebounds, diving on loose balls, the hustle plays.

en I've always liked her. She's got her head in the game, plays hard and plays for a good coach. She knows how to compete at the championship level. My only question is why she didn't play outside at that size. But the way she rebounds, who cares what size she is. She gets rebounds, loose balls and she's shown that she can pass and shoot from out there, better than some of us thought.

en It's playing defense, diving after loose balls, sprinting back on defense to break up a fast break. People forget sometimes that these are 18- and 19-year-old young adults. They go through so many personal things while playing college basketball and taking college courses.

en We always play hard; it's just the little things. Like the loose balls killed us. They got a lot of offensive rebounds, all the hustle plays. That's what it came down to. It's not going to happen (this time).

en They called her Ms. March early on in her career because she knew what she had to do in order to get our team to a national championship. I think that?s her attitude right now. She knows what she needs to do to help our team go out and win the Big East. She?s just been playing that way, diving on tables, diving on loose balls, getting after rebounds. She?s getting back to Will. You can tell, and it?s really helping our team out.

en She played her typical game, just really good aggressive defense, outstanding on the boards, diving after loose balls.

en Any time you win the effort categories as far as getting more rebounds diving on the floor getting a loose basketball, then you have more possessions to get an opportunity to score more points. It's just something coach (Matt) Painter tried to instill in us since we started practicing. We got to get every loose ball.

en You've got to find a niche to make it in this league and I've found mine on defense. Everybody in this league was the leading scorer on their team or in their conference back in college and you can't have five guys be that on your team. en You reward everybody for what they do best. He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured. We want the guys who take the charges, block the shots and we have a stat for getting loose balls, for diving on the floor. We put emphasis on those little statistics, when everybody only wants to know about rebounds, assists and scoring. It's not just about who scores all the points.

en He does all the intangible stuff. That's his biggest role in the grand scheme of things - drawing charges, getting rebounds, setting picks, diving for loose balls, putting a body on people.

en They made the hustle plays - the extra battle for the loose balls and the second and third efforts on some of their shots. That's what beat us.

en There are a lot of ways to win basketball games, and obviously the easiest way is to score points. But when you don't do that, there are other things that you can do -- hustle plays like the tip-in or the rebounds on the free throws. Those plays can make a difference and they obviously did this afternoon.

en It was a total team effort ? diving for loose balls, playing with our heads.

en Certainly with our team he is not flying under the radar. We know he brings a lot of energy and toughness. Scott has the ability to be a combination guy. Next year you'll see that. But his staple is outworking people, getting offensive rebounds, tipping and diving for loose balls.
